We personally visited the Apache Indian Reservation in 2017 and got a tour of the mining operations by one of the native Americans that lives there. We bought several pounds of rough peridot. It took a week to sort through it all, and we found less than a half-dozen stones with quality as good as this one. Typical of the Arizona material this one is quite olive green in color (maybe that’s why peridot is the mineral called Olivine). Cut in a custom design which so far doesn’t have a name. The black spot visible in a couple of the photos is a tiny piece of basalt, the volcanic host rock in which peridot is found.
