Tsavorites are among the most expensive and rare of all garnets. They were discovered in Tsavo National Park, Kenya, in 1967 by Campbell Bridges. Tsavorite garnets are found mainly in Kenya and Tanzania, but also in Pakistan, Canada, Sri Lanka, the former USSR, South Africa and the USA.
The rough for this particular tsavorite came from Tanzania. Faceted in a nice pear design with a keel pavilion instead of a pointed culet makes it suitable for any jewelry setting, whether its a ring, necklace or bracelet charm.
GIA certificate is included.
