This beautiful pyralspite garnet is from Malawi in Africa. This has a large amount of Spessartine in it (known as Spessartite in Europe). The type name Pyralspite is derived from Pyrope, Almandine, and Spessartite, three distinct varieties of garnet. The rare hot pink in this stone is truly vivid and together with the deep red makes for a very impressive contrast. This stone is suitable for any type of jewelry and is the birthstone for January.
